In recent years the concept of mobility has been central within transport research. Inspiration has particularly been drawn from sociology, which has contributed with new theoretical understandings. Mobility is used synonymous with transport and refers to the physical or and bodily movement through time and space. Mobility can also contain aspects of the potential possibilities which exists for making these movements. Mobility research therefore aims at focusing at the different forms of mobility and the different potentials for mobility, and has as its empirical area different forms of movement, for example automobility, freight transport and air transport. In relation to this, the concept of mobility is being used to understand how forms of mobility take part in social development in different ways. For example, automobility can be said to have a decisive influence on forms of mobility existing in late modernity. The study of mobility cannot be delimited to single positions or traditions in research. Rather, it is a cross-disciplinary task to study mobility, with different epistemological perspectives being used. The concept of mobility does not therefore represent a single perspective on the social world, but covers different positions. However, these positions share the characterisation of the social as being particularly mobile, as being constituted through movement. This is in opposition to how the social world is normally thought about: it is mainly seen as being connected to structure, to the immobile. It is however, interesting that many researchers of mobility do not include the social and environmental consequences of transport. This represents a future research field. It is particularly Professor John Urry's new book, Sociology beyond Society 2000 ; , which has given inspiration to the Danish debate and to this anthology. In this book, which Urry calls a manifesto for a new sociology, he suggests that sociology should take the many mobilities 9.

Donations to Political Organisations and EU Political Expenditure At the AGM in May 2001, shareholders first authorised the company to make donations to EU Political Organisations and to incur EU Political Expenditure, under the provisions of the Political Parties, Elections and Referendums Act 2000, of up to 100, 000 each year. This authority has since been renewed annually. Although the company does not make and does not intend to make such payments or donations to EU political parties, within the normal meaning of that expression, the definition in the legislation of 'EU Political Organisation' is wide. | Transfected cells were treated with ICI for 2h. ER protein levels were subsequently determined by immunoblot analysis. As shown in Figure 6A, overexpression of CK8, CK18 restored the ability of fulvestrant to degrade ER in HeLa cells. We then examined whether fulvestrant-induced ER degradation could be inhibited by CK8, CK18specific small interference RNAs siRNA ; . MCF7 cells CK8, CK18-positive ; were transfected with CK8 or CK18 siRNAs singly or both ; and treated with ICI for 2h. CK8, 18 and ER protein levels were measured by Western blotting. As shown in Figure 6B, CK8, 18 siRNAs decreased the level of CK8 and CK18, and fulvestrantinduced ER degradation was less dramatic in these MCF-7 cells. Cytoplasmic localization of ER is associated with CK8 and CK18- A unique but poorly understood property of pure antagonists like the ICI compounds 13, 19 ; and RU 58668 44 ; is the induction of cytoplasmic localization of ER. Intermediate filament proteins CK8 and CK18 have been shown to be located in both the nuclear matrix as well as in the cytoplasm 30 ; . To investigate whether fulvestrant-mediated cytoplasmic localization of ER is associated with CK8 and CK18, we transfected an ER-GFP plasmid into CK8 and CK18-positive or negative cell lines MCF-7, T47D or HeLa cells, respectively; Figure 2 ; . Transfected cells were then treated with ICI in the presence or absence of the protein synthesis inhibitor CHX or the partial antagonist 4-OHT. In untreated cells and cells treated with 4-OHT, expression of ER-GFP was exclusively nuclear Figure 7, first and last columns, respectively ; . After treatment of MCF-7 and T47D cells with ICI, dramatic cytoplasmic localization of ER was observed Figure 7, second column ; . It is generally accepted that globally averaged sensitivity of the TOA budget to sea surface temeprature SST ; perturbations lies approximately within 2-3 W m2 K interval. It is this value that has been used in many energy balance models of various complexity. In this study we run an aquaplanet atmospheric GCM with a series of fixed zonally symmetric SST profiles in order to look at quasi-stationary response of the TOA and the surface fluxes to SST anomalies on different horizonal scales. The analysis is done with perturbations, which represent zonally symmetric spherical harmonics. The global average sensitivity of the TOA budget with respect to the SST proportional to the correlation coefficient ; is close to 2 W m2. The point-by-point correlation between SST perturbations and changes in the TOA budget is very good for latitudes polewards of 30 degrees, but this is not the case in the tropics. Even for large scale perturbation, especially anti-symmetric about the equator, the correlation is very poor. This is explained by the fact that the structure of the Hadley cell controls most of the properties of the tropical atmosphere. This conclusion is supported by the analysis of the corellation between SST and TOA perturbations in the wavenumber domain. For the given GCM for very large scale SST perturbations wavenumbers 0-2 ; the correlation is quite good - the TOA response has most of the energy in the same wavenumber. For higher wavenumbers the correlation becomes worse and a lot of energy in the TOA response goes to other harmonics. This presentation also serves as a supporting poster for another abstract by the same author entitled "On the non-locality of the atmospheric response and polar amplification of the global warming and gemcitabine.

A clinical interaction study with midazolam demonstrated that fulvestrant does not inhibit CYP 3A4. Clinical interaction studies with rifampicin inducer of CYP 3A4 ; and ketoconazole inhibitor of CYP 3A4 ; showed no clinically relevant change in fulvestrant clearance. Abstract The protease from type 1 human immunodeficiency virus HIV-1 ; is a critical drug target against which many therapeutically useful inhibitors have been developed; however, the set of viral strains in the population has been shifting to become more drug-resistant. Because indirect effects are contributing to drug resistance, an examination of the dynamic structures of a wild-type and a mutant could be insightful. Consequently, this study examined structural properties sampled during 22 nsec, all atom molecular dynamics MD ; simulations in explicit water ; of both a wild-type and the drug-resistant V82F I84V mutant of HIV-1 protease. The V82F I84V mutation significantly decreases the binding affinity of all HIV-1 protease inhibitors currently used clinically. Simulations have shown that the curling of the tips of the active site flaps immediately results in flap opening. In the 22-nsec MD simulations presented here, more frequent and more rapid curling of the mutant's active site flap tips was observed. The mutant protease's flaps also opened farther than the wild-type's flaps did and displayed more flexibility. This suggests that the effect of the mutations on the equilibrium between the semiopen and closed conformations could be one aspect of the mechanism of drug resistance for this mutant. In addition, correlated fluctuations in the active site and periphery were noted that point to a possible binding site for allosteric inhibitors.
